Nick Cassini
Nick Cassini is a co-founder of Cassini & Co. and a recognized leader in private club development, bridging elite golf, real estate development, and private club strategy. His career combines a deep understanding of the game with hands-on experience creating and delivering world-class club and lifestyle communities.
A former First Team All-American at the University of Georgia, Nick won a National Championship with UGA, represented the United States in the Walker Cup, and has been inducted into the UGA Circle of Honor. He also received the UGA Arch Award and later spent five years competing professionally on the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, and European Tours.
In the business world, Nick has served as Co-President of IMI Worldwide Properties and Chief Operating Officer of Ansley Developer Services, leading complex real estate, hospitality, and lifestyle-driven development platforms.
Alongside his brother and partner Dimitri Cassini, Nick has led the development and delivery of private club, golf, and lifestyle real estate projects across the U.S. and Europe—including The Rose Golf Club, Madison Fields, and The Preserve—guiding each from vision through capitalization, design, and execution.

Shane Short
PartnerShane Short is a Managing Partner of Cassini & Co., bringing the operational leadership and scaling discipline required to build the firm into an institutional asset management platform. His role is purpose-built to complement Nick and Dimitri: where they create exceptional clubs and communities, Shane is responsible for the firm-building work that turns those projects into a scalable, durable, and institutional-quality enterprise.
Shane's career spans 25 years of operational and commercial leadership across the building products and construction industries, with a focus on scaling businesses through periods of significant growth and ownership transition. Most recently, he served as President and COO of Southeast Exterior Solutions, a family-owned exterior cladding, framing, and land development subcontractor. From 2019 to 2021, he served as President and CEO of US GreenFiber, a PE-backed manufacturer.
Earlier roles include senior leadership positions at Ply Gem, Royal Building Products (an Axiall company), and a decade-long career at James Hardie Building Products that progressed from sales execution to regional and national P&L responsibility. Across these platforms, Shane has built teams, restructured organizations, executed M&A, and delivered the operational discipline that institutional capital partners expect.
At Cassini & Co., Shane focuses on the work that converts a boutique advisory practice into a multi-vintage asset management franchise — organizational design, fund operations, financial discipline, and the institutional infrastructure required to scale across funds. This is the discipline that private club platforms typically lack, and it is the foundation on which the firm's investment platform is built.
Dimitri Cassini
Dimitri Cassini is a co-founder of Cassini & Co. and a recognized leader in private club development, operating at the intersection of real estate development and private club strategy. A trusted advisor to some of the world’s most exclusive clubs, Dimitri has worked across a wide range of offerings—from elite golf clubs and private residence clubs to beach clubs and ultra-exclusive lifestyle memberships.
His experience includes landmark projects such as Palazzo Tornabuoni (an exclusive Four Seasons residence club in Florence, Italy), Rock Creek Cattle Company (a private golf and residential club in Montana), Napa Valley Reserve(one of the world’s most exclusive wine clubs), and Tahoe Beach Club (a private beach club with residences in Lake Tahoe, Nevada).
Dimitri has held senior leadership roles as Co-President of IMI Worldwide Properties and Chief Sales Officer of Ansley Developer Services, leading complex real estate, hospitality, and lifestyle-driven development platforms.
